Holly Jones

Director

I’ve worked as a Creative Producer in the arts for over 20 years in theatre, visual arts music and film, specialising in participant-led creative production and bringing new voices and audiences to the arts.  I met Jeremy Haneman when we co-founded the Mixed Up Chorus in 2014 as part of a programme I led bringing people together across faith and belief divides.

I was inspired by how quickly the Mixed Up Chorus became its own powerful & supportive community, as well as by Jeremy’s passion and talent! We’ve worked together ever since, founding Together Productions CIC in 2017.

Previously I was director of Education and Community at the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain (NYT), where amongst other things I founded their ground-breaking social exclusion programme Playing Up.  At NYT I created a peer leadership training programme and designed and produced ID1000, a national tour of ground-breaking site-specific heritage based theatre.  More recently I ran the Arts & Culture programme at 3FF, where I developed Urban Dialogues, a cross arts programme focussing on faith and belief bringing diverse artists, organisations and audiences together.

Before working the arts, I had a career in television for over 10 years working as an Associate Producer and Director with companies including Ricochet Films, Diverse Productions, Now TV and Ark.  I have an MA in Cultural Leadership from City University and am a fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs.

Favourite Together Productions Moment: During the pandemic when meeting in person was impossible we thought everything might be over for TP. But - surrounded by amazing partners and collaborators - we managed to come together and create a music video that involved over 125 performers in 14 different countries, Imagine Imagine.  Seeing a choir of Syrian children in Yabroud singing their hearts out to the song we’d composed here was pretty special.  We made friends around the globe and had our eyes opened to endless international possibilities.
