A Feast for Freedom – a wonderful way to celebrate ten years!
Together Productions Director Holly Jones shares plans for a special feast to celebrate ten years of Sing for Freedom Choir.

This year marks the tenth birthday of our wonderful Sing for Freedom Choir, and we're planning something rather special to celebrate.
Food has always played an important part in our events and gatherings. Sharing dishes from different countries, discovering new flavours and sitting down to eat together are some of the many ways that friendships and connections grow between people from different backgrounds. So when we started thinking about how to celebrate ten years of Sing for Freedom, a shared feast seemed particularly appropriate!
We're delighted that an amazing team of people have offered their time and talents to make it happen. Sheila Dillon, presenter of BBC Radio 4's The Food Programme, will host the evening, while acclaimed chefs and food writers Meera Sodha, Romy Gill and Alissa Timoshkina will be joining forces with choir members to create a fabulous international feast.
A Feast for Freedom takes place on Wednesday 25 November at Highbury Christchurch, with delicious food, live music, stories and conversation around shared tables.
Of course, there's another important reason for bringing everyone together. Sing for Freedom was founded in 2016 by survivors of torture and has grown into an extraordinary community of singers, bringing refugees, people seeking sanctuary and local residents together through music. We're enormously proud of what the choir has achieved over the past decade, and we want to make sure it can continue for many years to come.
The evening will raise much-needed funds to support the choir's future, and we hope friends old and new will come and celebrate with us.
